The Snow Is Here
Winter has started to creep into Syracuse and many of the bands are off the road for December so we're planning out the spring. Despite the lack of shows we have a few things going on to look out for. In the coming weeks we'll have a little something special from Merit and Aux coming your way. Look for posts here but also myspace and gomeritgo.com. Merit is also taking another trek south this February, which we are booking now.
We are also booking spring college shows for Merit, ABQ and The Pilot Lies. If you want them to come rock your campus let us know. We'll do our best to make it happen.

On the Road
The Pilot Lies will be making their first road trip in their new van today, taking the trip to New London, CT for a show at Club Hipnotic (aka El En Gee). Merit and ABQ hit the road for a NYC date at the Knitting Factory next weekend (8/26) and then Merit is off to NJ at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch (8/27).

Anorexic Beauty Queen
Aux Records is proud to announce that Anorexic Beauty Queen has been added to the label's roster. With a five-year track history, two independent releases and numerous tours of the east coast and mid-west, Anorexic Beauty Queen bring experience and a more melodic mixture of emotionally inspired indie rock to the label.
On April 17, 2006 Anorexic Beauty Queen begins the recording process for their third release at More Sound Studio (Syracuse, NY) with Jocko at the helm. Their as yet untitled release is due out this summer.

Merit Release Date
This week we got our shipment of Merit's self-titled double EP and on May 9 it will be officially released. You will be able to get it from online retailers and select stores then but we have a special going right now. This week Merit is featured on the front page of Purevolume and as part of their feature we are selling a limited number of Merit's disks early direct from Aux via the Purevolume page.

March Madness
Basketball fans aren't the only ones going crazy right now... Merit's disc is off being pressed as you read this and we're all excited to get it back in a couple weeks. The release is still set for late April so look out for a series of shows as part of the release from late April through early May. Fairway is finishing up the final touches of the artwork for their EP and that should be out in April as well. The video for Diablo En Musica will be online in the next week or so as well.

The New Look
After pulling the site down for a couple days we have a new look. It's not finished and there may be a few bugs on the site but it was time for a change. Expect the redesigned band EPKs, where you can request music and more for the media section soon.

Merit Live Recordings
Merit posted the entire recording of their live acoustic set from this past Sunday's Redhouse performance on purevolume. You can listen to the 6 songs they played from TK99's Soundcheck at purevolume.com/merit. The set includes a live version of The End All from their upcoming release (not online anywhere else) and their single Blue Bedroom.

Fairway video shoot
TOMORROW Saturday, February 11 Fairway will be shooting a video for Diablo En Musica off their forthcoming EP on Aux Records. The band wants you to be a part of the shoot. The filming will take place at The Haunt (702 Willow Ave) in Ithaca, NY and if you want to be in the video you should be there at noon. The shoot should last a couple hours and some food, soda and water will be provided. By showing up you are giving the band/film crew permission to use your image in the final cut of the video.

Merit Recording / Show
Merit has almost completed recording their sophomore release due out this spring. They took a break from shows for a few months while in the studio but are going to resume shows in February. They will be featured on Soundcheck doing an acoustic set from the Redhouse in Syracuse on February 12. Doors are at 8:00 pm with the show at 9:00 pm. It is ALL AGES and there is a $5 cover. Come out to the Redhouse to welcome Merit back or tune into the live broadcast on TK99 in Central NY.
